Having a Vertical Scroll Problem with Security Camera Monitor for Store Owner?
(Battle Creek , Mi)
Question:
I have a security camera that goes to a old style monitor and to a computer dvr card on the monitor I have a vertical hold problem and it also squiggles the picture but on the computer the picture is fine.
I have substituted another monitor that works fine on another camera and it still has the verticle hold problem.
So what can i do to fix it?
Is the run to long maybe to the monitor or is the problem that i used a splitter to tie the monitor into it? What can I try?
Thanks Jim III
Answer:Hi Jim,
Well that is a tough one especially with out a little more information.
I think it is a common issue with going direct from a camera to a monitor to have issues like that. There are problems with the signal matching up. I am not sure if your camera has the option of changing the Gamma options.
The other option if the Monitor on the PC is working just fine you can get another monitor card for the PC and using a VGA out from that you can connect to a second monitor. A long VGA cable is fairly inexpensive online.
If you have more information about exactly how you have the camera connected to the monitor you can add it to the comments below and I could add some more ideas.
