Cable Tray

This tray is installed in many sites, and lays cables out lengthwise for economics and organization. They help with making sure a security camera installation has a clean professional look. This will be critical for being able to pass the local city inspection with a clear rating and will help to eliminate having to do re-work.

There are basically three ways to connect a Security Camera System.

  1. Coax
  2. UTP (Unsheilded Twisted Pair)
  3. Fiber Optic Cable

The length of cable that you can typically run for RG59/U coax cable is 750 to 800 feet. With UTP you can get around 1200 ft distance of video signal with a passive system (6000 ft or more with an active system). With Fiber Optic cable you can extend the distances far beyond that.
