Question:
How well does a dome camera work with 420 TVL,1/3 Sony color CCD,3.6mm lens.
Answer:
That is a pretty basic Security Camera. 420 TVL is on the lower end of resolution but depending what your using it for it should be just fine.
It is a color camera so all your images will be in color. The only drawback to that would be if it is in a low light situation. Cameras that switch to Black and White with low light will have better resolution in that mode than in color. So make sure whatever you are viewing has plenty of good light.
A 3.6mm lens is a fairly wide angle lens. It will give you a 67 degree horizontal field of view. Which means at a distance of 25 feet (or meters) you will have a horizontal or wide view of 33 feet wide.
So for closer views this camera would be fine.
